Resident Landlord Andrew Hall offers something for everyone at Ye Horseshoe Inn, locally known as the Top Horseshoe, a fine old traditional Yorkshire inn localted in a village six miles from whitby, oak tables enhance the old-world effect in the bar, decorated with brasses and paintings by a local artist, where bar snacks and meals are served lunch time and evenings seven days a week. The many homemade dishes are a speciality with our short crust pastry pies being very popular, fresh fish and local game dishes when in season. Coffee, teas and light bites are avaliable from 11 in the morning, and take away fish and chips are served daily. An a la carte menu, daily fish menu, and daily specials are served every lunch time and evening in the 26-cover restaurant, using as much local produce as possible. Our menus change regularly so are always worth viewing.

Booking is advised for the Sunday lunch carvery, with chldren and senior citizen portions being avaliable, using locally produced meats and vegetables.

The accommodation, avaliable for short or long breaks throughout the year, comprises of an attractive lounge with television, an en-site double room, two twin bedrooms, (each with wash basin), sharing an adjacent bathroom. Access to the accommodation is direct from the garden with guests having thier own door key so they can come and go as they choose.

Ye Horseshoe Inn is your typical village pub, sponsoring the local village cricket club, in the winter months being host to a number of dart teams, holding domino drives and fund raising nights for the local community, churches and schools.

The main bar offers a traditional open fire with the restaurant having some alcove tables offering that extra privacy, and a popular beer garden that is a wonderful sun trap, and weather permitting a BBQ.

As a Yorkshire pub we specialise in serving and promoting yorkshires real ales with a selection of 6 avaliable at any time, a real ale lovers delight.
